Scarborough’s local DIY legends with international status are gracious masters of curating a line-up of varied, energetic and captivating punk, and this evening put together by Active Minds was another riot of enthusiastic audience energy ricocheting off passionate performers.
With local support acts from Brid (Tempersflare) and Scarborough (Low Press) and guests Sanction This, from Newcastle, headlining after hometown organisers Active Minds took to the stage, we were treated to a night of melodic punk, frenetic energy, bombastic political discourse and, from those assembled at the Cask Club, plenty of bounce, pogo and mosh (the three-headed hell-hound of any good punk gig, no?).
