Pealie’s Barn is, quite simply, a rather special venue.  A 300 year old barn, lovingly nurtured into a space that hosts music – with multiple staging areas, pizza kitchen and bar – alongside workshops and community spaces. Nestled in rural East Cowton, Northallerton, it is a journey to get there, but a journey worth making. Our YCG Editorial team literally gasped with delight when we first turned up, one chilly but clear evening, for a triple-bill gig in the fire-warmed interior; a late-winter visit was special in itself, but we could sense the magic that fairer weather would bring to a visit to Pealie’s.

With a programme of events throughout the year, here we feature photographs from their recent Open Day, a fantastic line up of bands from around the region and beyond.  Huge thanks to Ben Willoughby for capturing the spirit of the day.
