Guest Overview:

Episode five welcomed the following guests to North Sea Sound Check.

Our first guest, Mark Gordon, Director of Scarborough Jazz Festival, talked about his career in music, his various bands, choirs and projects, and led us through the line-up and offerings at this year’s jazz festival.

Scarborough singer songwriter Jack Robertson joined us for a chat about his music, his recent gigs and festivals, upcoming new material, and he played not one but two songs for us – the second one is at the end of the episode, and big thanks to Jack for being such a sport with this bit of fun!

Charlotte Brooke, comedian, musician and actor, talked us through the influences her hometown has had as well as her career path and future projects, such as being part of Flat & The Curves and solo projects. She also performs a stunning song about gluten!

To close episode 5, the combined and individual talents of young band The Limeys were discussed, before they performed their song, Power Station, live in the studio.

As well as featuring these guests, we also present stunning music videos from Julian Plested – The Sap Rises; and Pickering’s This House We Built, with their video, Coming Home to You.
