After a fantastic performance at Whitby Pavilion earlier this year, the Pink Floyd tribute band Time Is Money is set to make a welcome return on Saturday 5th March 2016.
Time Is Money, a name inspired by two of the tracks from Dark Side of the Moon (one of the highest selling albums ever), comprises eight musicians, a sound engineer and a lighting technician from across Lincolnshire. They have rehearsed with the same attention to detail that Pink Floyd themselves were renowned for.
Drummer Anth Hindmarch has been a fan ever since he first saw them perform in 1967 when the band was fronted by the enigmatic Syd Barrett. “Ever since then I have been, in turn, fascinated and uplifted by their music. I’ve seen Floyd live some 20 times and in 1977 was lucky enough to be working at the Olympia in London to see Floyd rehearse their Animals tour.”
For lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist, George Clifton, it all started when he was revising for exams whilst listening to ‘The Wall’. “The music took me places that no other did then or has done since. My dream has now been realised to get the chance to perform this magical music.”
The evening promises to be a feast of Pink Floyd classics with generous helpings of ‘Dark Side of The Moon’, ‘Wish You Were Here’, ‘The Wall’ and more.
If you’re a fan of great music played live, then Whitby Pavilion is the place to be on Saturday 5th March 2016.
Tickets for ‘Time Is Money: A Pink Floyd Tribute’ are on sale now priced at £12 and £10 for concessions. Tickets can be purchased from the Pavilion’s Box Office, via www.whitbypavilion.co.uk or by calling 01947 458 899.
