After a solid start to their new venture, Sant’ Angelo Resources and Quids Inn are spreading the net wider this week, pulling in Hull band, Delta Vega.
Thursday 11th June will see this power house rock trio take to the transformed venue as they release their “infectious melodies, projected from a solid, hard as nails, rock foundation”. They’re described as having an unavoidable sense of commitment and togetherness on stage which is fuelled by nothing other than a genuine friendship and unique musical connection between three musicians that simply fit, work and deliver every time.
With influences ranging from Foo Fighters, Stereophonics, Feeder, Muse, to our very own Little Angels, their original tracks pack a piercing pulse into their audiences’ ears. Their enthusiasm and unbounded energy is never better witnessed than in their live stage presence, which pulls, hooks and captivates.
Delta Vega will surely be avidly welcomed by the Scarborough crowd, who will also have a local treat in support; the well-loved Demimondaines. Since 2008, these well-known locals have taken the approach that no genre is off-limits, whether that be punk, funk, reggae or mainstream pop.
Jon Anderson (guitar) says: “If it works, it adds to a song, and it still sounds like us, we’re up for it”. With a strong following in the town and wider region, The Demimondaines will be looking forward to once again producing a storming set as they bring the influences of Soundgarden, Queens of the Stone Age, Bob Marley and Pendulum to life.
Since their launch event on 28th May, Chapter 3 have transformed the space at Quid’s Inn to give the town a fully high-tech, professionally staffed venue, keen on promoting a heady mix of music with the heart of the enterprise truly rooting for local talent; a recipe that harks back to the days of the Stage Door or Talbot.
Since developing key music ventures such as Beached, the team at Chapter 3 aim to make sure that whether you already know the bands or not, you can be confident you will get quality. No covers, no karaoke, no duff old PA kit, no strip lighting, just live, loud, original, Yorkshire born music.
Delta Vega are the first of a line-up of bands who have signed up to come and perform in Scarborough – keep close to Facebook and Twitter to hear about dates for bands from York, Middlesbrough and across the region.
Tickets on the door cost only £2 per person. Please contact the press office (details above) for guest list entry.
