The UK’s best girl band, Little Mix, will take to the stage at Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Sunday 27 July with special guests, Scouting for Girls.

Since being crowned winners of The X Factor at the end of 2011, the first group to do so in the competition’s eight year history, Little Mix has sold more than three million singles and two million albums worldwide. A second UK Number 1 in September 2012 with first single proper, Wings, was followed in June 2013 by the band’s album, DNA. DNA became the highest debut ever for a British female group’s first album, entering at Number 4 and eclipsing a sixteen-year-old record previously held by the Spice Girls ‘Spice’ album.

In just over two years band members Perrie, Jesy, Jade and Leigh-Anne have gone from obscurity to being one of the biggest bands on the planet, a steep trajectory that hit new heights in autumn 2013 with the release of their hit single Move and second album, Salute.

Little Mix is delighted to welcome Scouting For Girls, one of the biggest pop bands in the world, as special guests at their Scarborough performance. Band members Roy Stride, Greg Churchouse and Peter Ellard have, over the course of four sparkling, life-affirming, Top 10 albums, made the journey from playing pubs in Harrow and Ruislip to headlining Wembley Arena. Scouting For Girls has achieved more than two million record sales, four Brit Award nominations, an Ivor Novello nomination and four Top 10 singles.
