The world-famous Jongleurs comedy club comes to The Spa Bridlington on Saturday 8 March for one night only with a superb line-up from the best of the British stand-up circuit.
Jongleurs Comedy is the largest chain of comedy clubs in the world with so many of the best known comics having performed at Jongleurs over the years.
During this evening of hilarity three comedians and a compare will take to the stage to tickle your funny bone. The artists due to appear on the 8th are:
MC Rhodri Rhys
ACT 1 Mike Newall
ACT 2 Matt Reed
ACT 3 Slim
(acts are subject to change)
Rhodri Rhys
Rhodri has moved swiftly since joining the comedy circuit and can now be seen regularly as an act and compére in London, across the UK and internationally.
Rhodri’s act combines sharp wit and observation with a natural geniality. His material is broad and colourful, drawing on his own experiences while deftly seaming in religion, business, sport, history and just a splash of naughtiness too.
Before becoming a comedian Rhodri qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and became a property entrepreneur in Eastern Europe. From 1990 to 2002 he lived in Prague enjoying business success and the unique hedonistic social life of that interesting era!
His skill at performing developed during these years when he lectured on property, hosted and compéred for business, diplomatic and charity events and performed alongside visiting British comedians
Rhodri has been the subject of a number of TV and radio programmes in Welsh, Czech and English. With a business and commercial background he is also in demand for corporate work.

Mike Newall
Manchester has a rich comedy heritage, seemingly able to produce iconic comedians quite effortlessly. Mike Newall is certainly the latest, and could even go on to become the greatest.
A gentle, amiable power-house of a comic, Mike’s timing is the envy of performers with ten times the experience and is living proof that you can’t learn to be funny, some people just are. Since making his debut in 2003, he has toured the country honing his skills and is now a force to be reckoned with. A talent who audiences, colleagues and industry-types alike are really sitting up and taking notice of, Mike Newall is the future of the Manchester scene, as cheering crowds from Penzance to Inverness will happily testify.

Matt Reed
Born and bred in Sunderland, Matt’s affable style has won him fans across the UK. He effortlessly plays with the crowd with a natural rapport that is found in few comics. Matt, always ready, never disappointing will always make a good gig – great.
With so many gigs of every size under his belt, from 3000 to 30, there is pretty much no comedy situation Matt can’t handle. Having played all the major clubs in the country (Comedy Store, Jongleurs, The Roundhouse, The Glee) Matt is now also in great demand as MC for music festivals, burlesque nights and corporate occasions. As pleasant as he is wonderfully brutal Matt is a welcome addition to any comedy night entertaining the crowd while skillfully destroying any heckler that crosses his path.
Matt is also perfect as a presenter and would also be very good at talking heads and radio shows.
